What Is Ribbed Fabric?
Ribbed fabric is a type of knit textile characterised by alternating raised and recessed vertical columns running along the length of the fabric. The most common patterns are 1x1 rib (one knit column, one purl column, repeating), 2x2 rib (two and two), and wider variations.
