Short answer: a real latex dress is a rubber garment: imported into India, several times the price, needs powder to get into and silicone to shine. What most people here actually want when they type "latex dress" is the look: tight, black, glossy, aaj raat main boss. Sinderella does not sell real latex. Every piece in our Domina collection is faux leather (PU), some in a glossy wet-look finish, some with mesh or lace, ₹549 to ₹1,499, and it pulls on like a normal dress. All in stock today.
Below: what latex clothing actually is, latex vs PVC vs faux leather in one table, how each one feels, fits, smells and cleans, who the look suits, how to size her, what to wear with it, care, and today's prices.
What is latex clothing?
Latex is natural rubber, poured into thin sheets, then cut and glued into clothes. No stitching, no lining, no stretch fabric underneath. It is the second skin you see in fetish photos: skin-tight because the rubber itself stretches and grips, and mirror-shiny because someone polished it with silicone before the photo.
That is also the catch. Rubber does not slide over skin. To put on a latex dress you dust yourself or the inside of the dress with talc, or use a dressing aid, then work it up inch by inch. A long nail or a ring can nick the sheet, and a nick becomes a tear. After wearing, it is washed by hand in plain water, dried flat away from sunlight, and stored with powder so it does not stick to itself. And some people react to latex rubber on skin. If you know you react, skip real latex altogether.
In India, real latex clothing is mostly imported or made to measure by a handful of small makers. So the honest question is not "where do I buy a latex dress" but "what gives me the latex-dress look tonight, in my size, without a chemistry kit".
Latex vs PVC vs faux leather (PU, wet-look)
| Latex (real rubber) | PVC (vinyl) | Faux leather / PU / wet-look | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Natural rubber sheet, glued seams | Plastic film on a fabric back | Polyurethane coating on a stretch fabric back |
| The shine | Mirror shine, but only after silicone polish | Hard plastic gloss, always on | Matte leather look, or glossy "wet-look" finish, no polish needed |
| Putting it on | Talc or dressing aid, slow | Like a stiff raincoat | Like a normal dress; lacing or zip |
| Stretch and fit | Rubber stretch, grips everywhere | Little stretch, shapes around you | Fabric stretch, moves with you |
| Feel on skin | Cool, then warm; squeaks; strong rubber smell | Cold, stiff, plasticky | Soft, slightly warm, mild new-bag smell at first |
| Cleaning | Hand wash, dry flat, re-powder | Wipe with damp cloth | Wipe with damp cloth, hang dry |
| Weak point | Tears from nails, rings, sun; some people react to it | Cracks at folds over time | Coating can peel if machine-washed or ironed |
| Price in India | Imported or made to measure, several times the price | Mid | ₹549 to ₹1,499 at Sinderella |
| Who it is for | Collectors who want the real thing and will care for it | Costume parties | A night at home, tonight |
Read it from her side. Latex is a project. PVC is a costume. Faux leather is a dress she can pull on in the bathroom while you wait on the bed.
How each one feels on the night
Latex. The grip is the point: the rubber holds her everywhere at once. It also sweats, because there is no fabric to take the moisture. Some people love exactly that. Most couples, first time, find it a lot of work for a short scene.
PVC. Looks loud in photos, feels like a shower curtain. Fine for a Halloween party, wrong for a bed.
Faux leather and wet-look PU. The outside reads as leather or glossy rubber from across the room. The inside is fabric, so it moves, breathes a bit, and does not squeak. Wet-look is the glossy version: under a bedside lamp it throws light the way latex does in photos, which is the part your eyes actually wanted. The matte faux-leather pieces read as "leather lingerie" instead: harder, more domina, less disco.
Who the BDSM dress look suits
This is not a honeymoon babydoll. A BDSM dress is for the night she is in charge, or the night she wants to look like she is. Power, not softness. The woman who walks out of the bathroom in black gloss with a choker on and says "baitho" is wearing the right dress.
If you are buying it for her: buy it for that mood, not for a shy mood. Say it when you give it to her. "Aaj raat tum boss ho." A dress like this needs a scene around it, or it just sits in the drawer next to the nighties.
If you are buying it for yourself: you already know. The lacing is for pulling tight, the cut-outs are for the lamp.
Sizing: how to get her size right the first time
Real latex has to be ordered to measurements, which is why the surprise-gift plan usually fails with it. Faux leather and wet-look pieces come in stock sizes, so order her usual dress size and check the size chart on the product page before paying. Two tips that get the size right the first time:
- Pick a laced piece if you are unsure. The Bijli wet-look mini dress has criss-cross laced sides and the Bebaak faux-leather dress laces at the front and sides, so the fit adjusts by a few fingers either way.
- Do not size down to make it "tighter". The right size with the laces pulled snug looks tighter than a smaller size that will not close.
What to wear with it: the full look
The dress is the centre. Four small things turn it into a scene.
- Choker or collar. Black, plain, close to the neck. One piece says more than any amount of jewellery.
- Wrist cuffs. Even if nobody clips them to anything, cuffs on the wrists change how she stands.
- Heels. Black, as high as she can walk in from the bathroom to the bed. That walk is the show.
- Red lipstick. Dark red, not pink. The only colour in the room.
One lamp on, the rest of the room dark; gloss needs light to bounce. All four pieces below come with a matching panty, so that is the whole outfit.
If the night goes further than the dress, handcuffs and bed restraints for couples and flogger vs whip: which one first cover the next step, and BDSM toys 101 for beginners covers the talk before it.
Care: keeping the shine without the chemistry kit
Faux leather and wet-look PU: wipe the outside with a damp cloth after wearing, a drop of mild soap if needed, then hang it on a padded hanger to dry. No washing machine, no wringing, no iron, no direct sun, no perfume sprayed straight onto it. Store it hanging or flat, not folded hard at the same crease every time. That is the whole routine. Real latex, for comparison, is a hobby: rinse, dry flat, powder, polish, repeat.

Latex dress FAQ
Is a latex dress the same as a leather dress?
No. Latex is rubber sheet, glued, skin-tight and mirror-shiny only when polished. Leather is animal hide, stitched, matte and stiff. Faux leather (PU) sits between them: a coated stretch fabric that reads as leather in matte or as latex in the glossy wet-look finish, and pulls on like a normal dress.
Where can I buy a latex dress in India?
Real latex is mostly imported or made to measure by small makers, at several times the price of faux leather, and ordered to your measurements. For the same look in stock sizes, Sinderella sells faux-leather and wet-look mini dresses with matching panties from ₹549, sizes S to 2XL, shipped in a plain sealed box.
How do you put on a latex dress?
Real latex: dust the inside with talc or use a dressing aid, remove rings, keep nails short, and work it up slowly without pulling at one spot. Then polish the outside with silicone for the shine. A faux-leather or wet-look dress skips all of that: step in, pull up, lace or zip, done.
Does faux leather make you sweat?
Less than latex or PVC, because the back is cloth rather than rubber or plastic, but it is still coated, so warmer than cotton or lace. Cut-outs and lacing let air in. Keep the room cool.
What do you wear with a BDSM dress?
A black choker, wrist cuffs, high black heels and dark red lipstick, and nothing under it except the panty that comes with the set. One lamp on, the rest of the room dark, so the gloss has something to catch.
Is faux leather lingerie better than real latex for a first time?
For a first night, yes. It is cheaper, comes in stock sizes, needs no powder or polish, and wipes clean. If after a few nights she wants the rubber grip and the mirror shine, that is when a made-to-measure latex piece is worth the wait and the price.
